Update to L Tower & Backstage Construction Info Website

Please note that we have updated and added content to the construction information site we run for our client Ferncastle: Castlepoint Realty Partners, Cityzen and Fernbrook Homes.

The site features weekly construction updates for the L Tower condominium at 8 The Esplanade and the Backstage condominium at 1 The Esplanade. It is a useful resource for local residents, businesses and anyone interested in the progress of these two great additions to the Toronto cityscape. Updates on the site are also available via twitter: Click here to follow L Tower & Backstage updates on twitter.

10 points on facilitating the public meeting process

Some thought-points on facilitating the public meeting process:

  1. Always be clear with participants what is and what is not on the table.
  2. Describe the flow of the session clearly and concisely.
  3. The best agenda is short.
  4. Ensure the time allotments are realistic (and a bit more too).
  5. Respect process but focus on outcomes.
  6. Facilitators steer, the destination emerges from dialogue.
  7. No one session can do or decide everything.
  8. Being kind to grandstanding is being unkind to the voices it drowns out.
  9. Provide multiple feedback mechanisms.
  10. Record and Report.
