3C Lakeshore
The 3C Lakeshore’s project at Cherry & Lakeshore Boulevard East, will transform downtown Toronto’s eastern waterfront from an under-utilised, post-industrial landscape to a vibrant mixed-used neighbourhood over the next decade. EN Consulting Group worked with the site’s developers, 3C Lakeshore, Inc., a joint partnership between Cityzen Development Group and Castlepoint Realty Partners of Toronto and Continental Ventures Realty of New York, to identify and liaise with key stakeholders, manage community and municipal relationships (including those with City councillors and staff), help integrate community visions and identify convergences between community desires and project deliverables.
The Backstage Condominium is a completed project is 36-storey tower being built across from the Sony Centre for Performing Arts, at the corner of Yonge and the Esplanade in Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood. EN Consulting Group was engaged by the Ferncastle partnership (bringing together developers, Cityzen, Fernbrook Homes and Castlepoint Numa) to provide community liaison services for the project. Subsequent to the project receiving municipal development approval, EN Consulting Group co-facilitated the City-mandated Working Committee established to develop an operations plan for the future Public Exhibit Space and PATH connection that will be delivered in the coming years as key parts of Backstage’s community benefits.
During the construction period, ENCG provided ongoing community construction liaison services that provided the local community with detailed construction information via the web and social media. We addressed complaints and inquiries, while ensuring the local neighbourhood association, Business Improvement Area and City Councillor’s office were appraised of construction impacts. Our construction liaison services were anchored by a dedicated construction information website that also encompassed Backstage’s sister project The L Tower.
Bloor East Neighbourhood Association
Bloor East is a mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood in north-east Toronto (north of Charles Street East, south of Rosedale Valley Road, east of Yonge Street and just west of Parliament Street). The area has seen a great deal of revitalization and redevelopment in recent years. EN Consulting Group was engaged by the Bloor East Neighbourhood Association (BENA), a local group that monitors and seeks to drive neighbourhood initiatives and improvements. We provide BENA with counsel and advice regarding stakeholder and municipal relations and assist them to develop policy points, community liaison frameworks and strategy to help shape the direction of development in the neighbourhood.
Claude Cormier + Associés (City of Toronto)
EN Consulting Group is working with renown landscape architects, Claude Cormier + Associés, on the City of Toronto’s Berczy Park Revitalization Project. We have been engaged to provide a comprehensive public consultation program to support and inform the design process for a revitalized park. As part of the consultation process we developed and maintained the http://www.berczypark.ca website during the consultation process.
Cityzen Development Group and Fernbrook Homes
EN Consulting Group provided stakeholder consultation and facilitation services for the project to aid communication between the Ctiyzen and key local stakeholders in respect to the St. Lawrence Condominiums project at 158 Front Street East.
Currently we provide construction liaison services for Pier 27 Phase 3 and St. Lawrence Condominiums – 158 Front Street East, projects being developed by Cityzen and Fernbrook Homes, and built by TMG Builders.
Community Matters
Community Matters is a community-based non-profit in Toronto’s St. Jamestown neighbourhood. It leads the conversation on public realm improvements and engages with proposed developments within the area under the rubric of SMART Development. EN Consulting Group provided advice and counsel on government and stakeholder relations in respect to a major urban development proposal in North St. Jamestown. EN Consulting Group staff also provided facilitation services for an all day workshop on the uses of public access space in the St. Jamestown Neighbourhood.
Concord Adex is an innovative condominium developer with two major projects in Toronto, Concord City Place and Concord Park Place. Known for their commitment to developing true urban communities, Concord Adex’s projects combine a commitment to architectural excellence, a distinctive public realm, outstanding parks and leading edge public art programs that create “outdoor galleries” at both City Place and Park Place. EN Consulting Group is facilitating Concord’s community consultation process throughout the initial design phases of a “central park” at their Concord Park Place development site in Willowdale. Through the consultation process we are working closely with City of Toronto staff and the City Councillor David Shiner‘s office.
The L Tower is a striking high-rise residential complex designed by Daniel Libeskind, developed by the Ferncastle partnership (bringing together developers, Cityzen, Fernbrook Homes and Castlepoint Numa) at Yonge and the Esplanade in Toronto. EN Consulting Group has been engaged on this project since 2005. Initially we assisted the development team to engage with local stakeholders and liaise with the local City Councillor in the pre-approval phase of the development. This work combined public consultation and the identification of stakeholders who indicated support for the development proposal; as well as ongoing liaison with the local City Councillor’s office. The L Tower’s development application was approved by the City of Toronto with majority community support.

Since 2016, EN Consulting Group has provided community construction liaison services for the Lower Junction project, led by Castlepoint Numa and Greybrook Realty Partners, that is redeveloping an 8-acre former brownfield site into a new neighbourhood located in the south end of the Junction Triangle at Perth Avenue and Sterling Road. This new mixed-use community will provide space for up to 2,500 jobs, be home for 1,000 new residents, and support a number of community improvements, including a new park and open spaces, a new daycare facility and affordable housing, and the new home of the Museum of Contemporary Art (Toronto).
Green Life Power is develops solar energy company that finances, constructs, and operates solar projects across Ontario. Their stated mission is to reduce the collective environmental footprint by accelerating the transition towards a distributed and renewable power grid. EN Consulting Group provides Green Life Power with government relations consulting services helping to promote the approval of solar energy initiatives in municipalities across Ontario.
Union Station Rail Corridor Infrastructure Improvement Program
GO Transit – HDI Joint Venture – Hatch MottMacDonald· Delcan • IBI Group
EN Consulting Group, working with program manager, was instrumental in providing timely information and outreach to the communities adjacent to the rail corridor.Regional transportation authority, launced a project to upgrade GO transit facilities and rail infrastructure along Toronto’s Union Station Rail Corridor, between the Don River and Bathurst Street, from September 2006 to March 2010.
Old Town Toronto Promotional Alliance
Old Town, Toronto is a historic residential and retail district in downtown Toronto (bounded by Front, Queen, Church and Parliament Streets). With a large number of 19th century buildings and strollable streets lined with restaurants and stores, Old Town was poised to become a popular destination within the city. EN Consulting provided Old Town Toronto’s Promotional Alliance with marketing, copy-writing, facilitation and community outreach services which helped boost tourism in this heritage neighbourhood. Our services included the organisation and facilitation of stakeholder meetings, as well as delivering presentations that promoted the Alliance’s vision and activities.
EN Consulting Group provides ongoing stakeholder liaison services to assist Pinewood’s ownership to identify, connect and liaise with key stakeholders in respect to the continuing development and build out of the film studio district.
St. Lawrence Market Complex – City of Toronto
EN Consulting Group conducted multi-year, qualitative and quantitative customer and marketing research and analysis for the St. Lawrence Market Complex, site of Toronto’s first market and an important tourism destination for the city.
Sony Centre for the Performing Arts
The entertainment venue now known as the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts first opened its doors in 1960 as the O’Keefe Centre, playing host to a plethora of attractions and stars in the intervening years. The centre’s history in the city and the vintage beauty of its building prompted the City of Toronto’s decision to make it a heritage site. As such when extensive renovations were planned for the building, the Sony Centre faced rounds of consultations to ensure the conservation of its historic features and its continued fit with the neighbourhood. EN Consulting Group worked with Sony Centre to devise and execute a stakeholder engagement strategy through which we managed community concerns through a community working group and provided our client with municipal government liaison service
Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA)
The Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) is a non-profit umbrella organization of businesses, property owners and business districts within the City of Toronto whose mandate encompasses promoting strong, successful businesses in the city. As part of their promotional efforts, EN Consulting Group provided communications, outreach and marketing services to TABIA during the launch of their print marketing piece, the City of Neighbourhoods map. EN Consulting also secured initial advertisers and sponsors and coordinated outreach, conducted market assessments and market viability for further sponsorship possibilities.
